Meet the Pastor
The Reverend M. Richard (Rick) Malivuk arrived in Tampa, October 1983 to develop a congregation in North West Hillsborough County which officially became All Saints in November 1985.
After graduating from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, South Carolina in 1981, he served as Associate Pastor at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clearwater, Florida. Prior to seminary, Pastor Malivuk held several positions at Deltona Corporation after his service in the Army in Viet Nam.
Rick and his wife, Molly, met while they were both students at the University of Miami and were married in 1967. They are proud parents of four, and grandparents of five. Molly, recently retired as a teacher, is the one to ask for the most recent family pictures, but Rick is quick with the latest story!
Pastor Malivuk is active in the community and serves as the clergy liaison for the Tampa Bay Regional Critical Incident Team and volunteers as a chaplain for the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. He serves on the Clinical Pastoral Education Professional Advisors Group for Tampa General Hospital and HPC HealthCare (Hospice) and on the Hospice Bio-Ethics Committee.
He was recently elected as Dean for the Tampa Conference, and is the Bishop’s Liaison to the Candidacy Committee. He also serves on the Synod’s Critical Response Team. He is one of three Synodical Key Leaders for Project Connect, an initiative by the Eastern Cluster of Seminaries (LTSS, Columbia, SC; LTSG, Gettysburg, PA & LTSP, Philadelphia, PA) to develop a culture of call encouraging 18 to 30 year-olds to consider professional service in the church.
